Everything is well arranged at this fish camp, e.g. high quality boats, echosounders with digital map, fishing instructions, staff that speaks english and german, personal fuel lockers etc.
During the week we were here, we caught big cod every day, and our biggest was 134 cm long (20+ kg). The major trick here is to be patient. When you have caught a small coalfish, let it remain in the deep and wait for the big cod to attack. First it feels heavy, but you let it chew and taste on your coalfish. Play with him for a while before you make the big strike, and the adventure is all yours.
Our best places were around the Skjervøy harbour district and Alketindan. Amongst the big cods we even caught a halibut. See the halibut movie here. (31 Mega)
I highly recommend this place. Great fishing, beautiful scenery, professional staff and top lodgings.
